Dilemma! Dilemma! What to do?
Master 4 is wanting to have naps through the day - especially now it's getting warmer. Our dilemma is that if he does have a nap, he doesn't want to go to bed at bedtime. So my question to you is ... where do you stand on this and what would you do in this situation?
We have tried a bit of everything. Waking him back up, letting him have just 1/2 an hour, letting him wake when he's ready. But we either end up with a very cranky boy or sitting up half the night until he ready to sleep again. Not such a good situation for the working parent!
We have been trying to wean him off naps since he turned 3, and most of the time he is fine. But I don't know if things are catching up with him lately (as they are with all of us), or he is just slipping back into old habits.
And there is nothing worse, as a parent, than trying to stick to the rules just to find out that your child is tired because he is coming down with an illness. Total guilt trip!
