We are a family made up of two parents. One of us is usually at home, while the other is at work.
It is not unusual for us to speak, via the phone, at least a couple of times during the work day.
Why?
Just to say ...
Did you know I miss you?
What do you fancy for tea?
This is what is going on at home. Lend me your sympathetic ear.
It's not that we won't see each other at the end of the day at home.
And sometimes ....it is just what you need to hear to stick your head down, and bum up, to get that work done, bringing you closer to the end of the day.
